What is Nerdlesque?

Nerdlesque, put simply, is burlesque for geeks. Its based upon pop culture, comics, books of all kinds, cult TV and movies. Its a celebration of geekery, obscurity, and the most off-kilter of references, for the love of the fandom. This year, I had the opportunity to perform at New York Nerdlesque Fest, with one of my many Neil Gaiman worship acts, namely 'MEDIA' from the novel 'American Gods'

I was surprised to have been selected, mostly because only 26 acts were chosen globally, but because in my UK-centred view, the act was so obscure, however, I found my nerdy home in New York, surrounded by people who loved the creepy aesthetic of the act, befitting of the character of Media.

It was because of the generousity of friends and family that the trip was financially feasible, and for this I'll eternally be grateful. What an adventure!
